Porsche-fuelled madness is a symptom of Labour waste
Commenting on the latest update in the saga of a Porsche - leased by Pembrokeshire council for its former chief executive – which will now see the council paying almost nine thousand pounds to end the hire contract, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Local Government Janet Finch-Saunders AM, said:
“This whole sorry saga would not have been out of place in a TV farce.
“That taxpayers are now bearing the brunt of another nine grand, just to send the sports car back to the garage, will be met with utter disbelief.
“This Porsche-fuelled madness is a symptom of the waste that Labour ministers in Cardiff have left to run riot in local government since 1999.
“The public sector chief exec who sat behind the wheel of this supercar has already had a preposterous pay-off.
“Over-inflated senior pay continues to blight our councils and it’s about time Welsh Labour ministers did something about it.”
