ABERCONWY AM joins march to mark International Women’s Day
On Saturday 7th March, Welsh Conservative Assembly Member, Janet Finch-Saunders attended a North Wales Soroptimist’s clubs march, along Llandudno promenade to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Commenting on the occasion, the AM said:
“It was wonderful to see so many members of the area’s different soroptimists clubs and members of the public, walking side-by-side to mark this special day.”
“It is heart-warming to know that the plight of women and girls around the world is being heard and that actions are being taken to help in their struggles.”
Speaking about Soroptimists Great Britain and Ireland’s campaign to end sex for sale advertising, Janet Finch-Saunders said:
“With over 11,000 trafficked and vulnerable women being prostituted in England & Wales, I am delighted to see so many people sign the group’s petition and would urge those who have not already done so to visit its website.”
