Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders has recently attended the exhibition of a "Bloodhound Super Sonic Car" at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay. The car is part of an attempt to break the world land speed record in South Africa.
Speaking after the event, the AM said: "This car, with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers as its sponsor, has been designed with the intent of inspiring a generation of young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
"Any moves to encourage our young people to pursue STEM subjects as a career are to be welcomed. STEM subjects will be vital for building a new generation of professionals in Wales to build the economy of tomorrow.
"I should like to take this opportunity to wish the entire crew involved with the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car the very best of luck with the World Land Speed Record in South Africa"
