When thinking of the Conwy River what often comes to mind is flooding, however, Janet Finch-Saunders, Assembly Member for Aberconwy, was delighted to meet up with Betws-y-Coed Anglers Club, who make the most of some of the valuable resources our river has to offer.
Janet said:
“Fishing in the Conwy valley has an excellent reputation, to such an extent that many people have been coming to stay in Betws-y-Coed for this specific reason for years.
“Betws-y-Coed Anglers Club play a central role in the management of the fishery, and I have found them to be providing a strong voice for anglers across Wales.
“It was a pleasure meeting up with the Club, learning more about salmon and sea trout, and hearing opinions about bylaws and Natural Resources Wales.
“Following the meeting, I am pleased to have been able to stand up for the Club and cast questions to the Welsh Government”.
