The number of benefits claimants in Aberconwy has fallen 50% since November 2010.
Janet Finch-Saunders, Assembly Member for the constituency, said:
“Unemployment remains at a record low under the Conservative government in Westminster. Thanks to initiatives such as the North Wales Growth Deal, unemployment is continuing to fall, meaning that more people are in work, taking home a pay packet and are able to provide for their families.
“The number of claimants in Aberconwy has dropped to 515 across the constituency – 50% fewer than 2010, and 110 fewer than last year.
“This is welcome news for the jobs market and local economy – we can see that jobs are being created and more local people are being employed.”
