Aberconwy AM Janet Finch-Saunders has welcomed the announcement that Llandudno Hospital is moving forward with its exciting ten year plan to upgrade the services for patients.
Commenting on the news, Janet said:
‘I am delighted that plans for the much needed enhancements are moving forward. Plans to be submitted to the Welsh Government in March include a new purpose built Minor Injuries Unit, Women’s Centre and Enhanced Rheumatology Centre.
‘I’m looking forward to seeing the introduction of new digital mammography for Breast Test Wales which will, in time, transfer to the new Women’s Centre at Llandudno Hospital.
‘The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board will soon be working alongside healthcare staff, and local voluntary organisations to put these plans into action.
‘I will continue to campaign for the future of our vital community hospital and look forward to seeing better facilities in place to provide an enhanced healthcare provision for my constituents across Aberconwy.’
