PRESS RELEASE
Assembly Member for Aberconwy, and Shadow Minister for Local Government, Janet Finch-Saunders has questioned the Local Government Minister as regards working with Chief Constables in delegating further powers to Police Community Support Officers.
The Assembly Member said: “In previous years, discussions have ensued in relation to enforcement measures such as: Dog Fouling; Littering; Parking and Dog Control Orders, that could be undertaken by this additional police presence on the streets. By working together in collaboration on enforcement would ensure a consistent approach and would achieve a greater level of efficiency savings, leading to a better use of Taxpayer’s money.
