THE winning entry in a Christmas card design competition at Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno has been presented to Janet Finch-Saunders AM.

A former pupil of the school she had presented prizes to the winners in the competition

She said: “This year has been an especial delight, delivering some seasonal sparkle through the students’ creative Christmas card competition designs. The four talented shortlisted candidates demonstrated a diverse range of artistic skills.

“While all the finalists’ pieces showed real flair, special congratulations must go to Miss Sophia Shields who clinched the top-prize. In true Christmas spirit, I was pleased to be given with an edition of the winning card, which will now take pride of place in my home.”

Headteacher, Mrs Webb said "she was absolutely delighted with the entries for the competition and was proud we have such talented students. Many thanks to Mrs Finch-Saunders who came to present the winners with their prizes".
