Following the announcement by the Leader of Conwy County Borough Council that he is to stand down at the forthcoming local government elections in May, Janet Finch-Saunders AM, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Local Government and Aberconwy Assembly Member, said:
“I would like to wish Dilwyn the very best for the future.
“Certainly, we have not always seen eye-to-eye on a number of issues, but as an elected member in Conwy County Borough Council, previously, and the National Assembly for Wales during his time as Leader, I note the dedication and commitment he has shown to his Party whilst in office.
“Leading a Council the size of Conwy, with the demographic pressures it faces, cannot be an easy challenge, and I am sure that he will be looking forward to some time off with his family to enjoy the beauty of this wonderful part of the world.”
