Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Bangor Conwy Môn, highlighted on ITV Wales’ Sharp End that both the new UK Labour Government under Andy Burnham and the new Plaid Cymru Welsh Government offer more of the same.
Janet commented:
“Wales has been significantly negatively impacted over the last 27 years by the policies and failings of the Welsh Labour Government, which were backed by Plaid Cymru. Instead of the change that we were promised, the new Plaid Government is instead focused on pursuing further constitutional change and devolution, rather than focusing on the real challenges that the people of Wales are facing.
She continued:
“Yet, even at the UK level, we are seeing more of the same with Andy Burnham. Instead of focusing on strengthening the economy, Labour seems focused on increasing taxes to support the welfare state.
Janet added:
“Instead of focusing on getting more people onto the employment ladder, improving our healthcare service, supporting our education system, and building the economy, Labour and Plaid are both prioritising their own ideological goals.
Janet concluded:
“It is vital that the priorities are firmly changed to address the issues that impact the Welsh public every day.”

Ar raglen Sharp End ITV Cymru, fe wnaeth Janet Finch-Saunders, AS Bangor Conwy Môn, dynnu sylw at y ffaith fod Llywodraeth Lafur newydd y DU o dan Andy Burnham a Llywodraeth newydd Cymru o dan reolaeth Plaid Cymru yn cynnig mwy o'r un peth.
Meddai Janet:
“Mae polisïau a methiannau Llywodraeth Lafur Cymru, a gefnogwyd gan Blaid Cymru, wedi cael effaith negyddol iawn ar Gymru dros y 27 mlynedd diwethaf. Yn hytrach na'r newid a addawyd i ni, mae Llywodraeth newydd y Blaid yn canolbwyntio ar ddatganoli a newidiadau pellach i’r cyfansoddiad, yn hytrach na chanolbwyntio ar y gwir heriau sy'n wynebu pobl Cymru.
Aeth ymlaen i ddweud:
“Hyd yn oed ar lefel y DU, rydyn ni'n gweld mwy o'r un peth gydag Andy Burnham. Yn hytrach na chanolbwyntio ar gryfhau'r economi, mae'n ymddangos bod Llafur yn canolbwyntio ar gynyddu trethi i gynnal y wladwriaeth les.
Ychwanegodd Janet:
“Yn hytrach na chanolbwyntio ar gael mwy o bobl i mewn i gyflogaeth, gwella ein gwasanaeth gofal iechyd, cefnogi ein system addysg, a datblygu’r economi, mae’r Blaid Lafur a Phlaid Cymru yn blaenoriaethu eu nodau ideolegol eu hunain.
Daeth Janet i'r casgliad:
“Mae'n hanfodol bod blaenoriaethau’n newid er mwyn mynd i'r afael â'r materion sy'n effeithio ar y cyhoedd yng Nghymru bob dydd.”
