R aI: Will the Minister make a statement on arts funding in Wales?
Janet Finch-Saunders: Minister, the ‘Arts in Wales’ survey showed that those who have considered that engagement in the arts is ‘not for me’ were most likely to live in north Wales, in rural areas and in small towns. What action are you taking to ensure that the £4 million budget cut to your portfolio does not deepen this inequality across our communities?
John Griffiths: Again, working with the Arts Council of Wales, the Welsh Government is fully committed to providing opportunities and access right across our nation. These are matters that we will address with the Arts Council of Wales and a range of other partners, because, obviously, we need to make sure that opportunities are in place in all parts of our country.
