WEDNESDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER:
Janet Finch-Saunders AM, said:
"It’s only right that we look again at both lines of communication and the process surrounding Richard Bracken’s unescorted release.
Following correspondence from constituents yesterday, I am organising a public meeting next month – and have contacted police and health board representatives.
The work to find Mr Bracken was exemplary – but there are clearly significant questions to answer."
TUESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER:
Commenting on the unescorted release of convicted murderer Richard Dennick in Llanfairfechan – and a subsequent nationwide manhunt – Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders, said:
“Local people are understandably worried and I know North Wales police, along with other forces across the UK, are doing all they can to locate this man.
“In the coming days, it’s only right that we look again at both lines of communication and the process surrounding his unescorted release.”
Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Health, Darren Millar AM, said:
“This is a very concerning situation and it is important that every effort is made to locate Richard Dennick as soon as possible.
“In the fullness of time there needs to be a full explanation as to why unescorted leave was granted by the Health Board to Mr Dennick and, given the risks, why it has taken more than twenty four hours to alert the public his whereabouts are unknown.”
