Urges Members to support Park Homes Bill/Annog Aelodau i gefnogi Mesur Cartrefi Parc

Cllr Janet Finch-Saunders AM this week supported a Private Member’s Bill calling for the reform of regulation on Park Homes. Janet said:

“Although there have been moves to introduce new legislation which have improved rights, the current unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired.

“At present Park Homes suffer from the lack of a coherent overall licensing framework. Licensees do not have to undergo a most ‘fit and proper’ person test; there is no legal requirement for local authorities to inspect park home sites, sanctions for non-compliance are poor; and unlike other licences that require annual renewal, park home site licences last for as long as the site continues to operate.

“This Member Proposed Bill intends to give greater protection for the residents of Park Home sites, has received cross-party support and I call on all Members to back it.”

Wnaeth Cyng. Janet Finch-Saunders AC yr wythnos hon gefnogi Mesur Aelod Preifat a oedd ar gyfer diwygio rheolau Cartrefi Parc. Dywedodd Janet:

"Er y bu camau i gyflwyno deddfwriaeth newydd sydd wedi gwella hawliau, yn anffodus dydy’r sefyllfa ar hyn o bryd ddim yn foddhaol.

"Ar hyn o bryd mae Cartrefi Parc yn dioddef o ddiffyg fframwaith trwyddedu cyffredinol cydlynol. Nid oes rhaid trwyddedigion i gael prawf person mwyaf 'addas a phriodol'; nid oes unrhyw ofyniad cyfreithiol i awdurdodau lleol i archwilio safleoedd cartrefi mewn parciau, ac mae cosbau am beidio â chydymffurfio yn wael; ac yn wahanol i drwyddedau eraill sy'n gofyn am adnewyddiad blynyddol, trwyddedau safle Catrefi Parc yn ddilys am gyhyd ag y bu’r safle yn parhau i weithredu.

"Mae'r Mesur Arfaethedig Aelod yn bwriadu rhoi mwy o ddiogelwch ar gyfer trigolion safleoedd Hafan Parc, wedi derbyn cefnogaeth drawsbleidiol a galwaf ar yr holl Aelodau i gefnogi."
