Zebra crossing and pavement works are to start in Glan Conwy on Monday (15 June 2020). This follows eight years of campaigning for a safe crossing by Janet Finch-Saunders MS and the local community. Commenting on the works, Janet said:
“For around eight years I have been working with the community to secure a zebra crossing for Glan Conwy.
“We have protested, and I have written letters and asked numerous questions of Welsh Government ministers.
“Alongside our community campaign, what really has pushed the crossing onto the road was highlighting that the proposed improvements at Black Cat will likely result in an improved traffic flow along the northbound A470 in Glan Conwy.
“I look forward to the crossing opening in a month’s time and safely uniting both sides of the village”.
