Giving her annual Christmas address, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy – Janet Finch-Saunders MS – said:
"This Christmas, I wish to give thanks and pay tribute to the resilience shown by residents and businesses across the constituency in light of what has been a very challenging twelve months for many constituents.
"In spite of new variants, the vaccination effort has been a remarkable triumph, with the resolve of our health and social care workers, volunteers and armed forces remaining true.
"Defying the challenge of the last year, which began with virtual classes for many, a fantastic set of results in our schools were also witnessed, which are a testament to our students, teachers and family support networks.
"Elsewhere, whilst Llandudno rightly kept her crown as the Queen of Welsh Resorts, businesses from across the constituency also won a raft of national and global awards for their quality and innovation.
"Whilst the shadow of Omicron looms as another public health challenge, reflecting on these optimistic stories show our community’s strength.
"I wish you a safe and relaxing festive season. Merry Christmas! Nadolig Llawen!
