With the interest of the agricultural industry and our health at heart, the Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders, is pleased to be supporting #Februdairy: the campaign launched to try to promote dairy products in the UK.
Janet said:
“Having had the opportunity to try milking first hand last year, and discuss the industry with constituents, I understand the huge amount of time and dedication that is given by farmers to looking after their livestock, and producing high quality produce.
“I am pleased to support the #Februdairy campaign, and encourage people to buy dairy produce as it can have a positive impact on our health, especially due to the presence of nutrients such as calcium, potassium, and vitamin D.
“Here in Aberconwy we are lucky to have access to some truly delicious and fine local dairy produce, such as Llaeth y Llan yogurts; and cheeses from Bodnant Dairy, South Caernarfon Creameries, and Snowdonia Cheese Company. So I encourage you all to make a special effort to try these delicious foods, and support the industry this month.
“Whilst we can all join Mr Gareth Wyn Jones in attempting the challenge of drinking a pint of milk, I am pleased, for now, to be doing my bit to promote the benefits of dairy produce, and standing up for our extremely hardworking dairy farmers across Aberconwy and the UK”.
