The Member of the Senedd for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders, is today celebrating the 69th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queens coronation.
Commenting on the anniversary, Janet said:
“I would like to extend my warmest wishes to Her Majesty on this day, as we join her as a nation in celebrating 69 years since her coronation. This momentous occasion serves as a reminder of the dedication Her Majesty has shown to the state during her reign.”
“Her Majesty’s decades of service since then are a source of inspiration for people throughout our nation and the world, including in her roles as Head of State for our family of nations and Head of the Commonwealth.”
“As the first Coronation to be televised, it marked a new era for the United Kingdom in more ways than one and demonstrated the innovative approach Her Majesty wished to adopt.”
“I hope that everyone in Wales enjoys the celebrations on this extended bank holiday weekend and can share this historical occasion with friends and family.”
“My home town of Llandudno welcomed Her Majesty in 1963, 1977, and 2010. In fact, such is the respect for Her Majesty and the Royal Family that the town has a park called Mountbatten Green, a care home called Queen Elizabeth Court, and I know that we will be seeing celebrations across Llandudno, and the rest of the constituency”
